POIR.01.01.01-00-0235\/20 is implemented under the Smart Growth Operational Program 2014 &#8211; 2020, Priority Axis I &#8220;Support for R&amp;D activites of enterprises&#8221;, subaction 1.1.1. Industrial research and developmental activities conducted by enterprises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The aim of the project is to develop a breakthrough therapeutic solution protecting against the development of post-traumatic and post-stroke epilepsy based on the inhibition of the epileptogenesis process through the activity modulation of the enzymatic protein, matrix metalloprotease 9 (MMP-9). The project covers, among others, the development of the manufacturing technology for the active substance and investigational medicinal product, therapeutic potential analysis for the MMP-9 inhibitor in animal models, and conduction of the pre-clinical and phase I clinical studies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li> Project budget: 21,564,812.50 PLN<\/li><li>Co-financing of the project from the European Funds: 16,919,633.00 PLN<\/li><li>Project timeline: 01.01.2021 &#8211; 31.12.2023<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The project is co-financed by the European Union under the Smart Growth Operational Program.
